FA's Blog: January 2015

Joe and I are slowly adjusting to life after Peace Corps. We have new iPhones, taking HOT showers, driving again, shoveling snow, wearing shoes etc etc etc…We miss Fiji and it will always be such a great adventure in our life. Love to everyone who has made our lives so special.

We are now enjoying being home, seeing family and friends, going to Friday night Fish Fries, playing paddle tennis, etc etc etc. We went on a fantastic Christmas cruise to Mexico with Jonathan, Heather, Don and Diane Breon. We had lunch with MA and Bill DiBerardino in Melbourne, Florida, we spent New Years with Betty and John.

John introduced Joe to Pickle Ball this visit…...

Joe and I left New York, January 27, 2015 in a snowstorm. We arrived in Denver to 70 degrees, sunny and beautiful! We rented a car and were off to Durango, Colorado to visit Greg. Our first stop was a visit to Julie and Scott Lamb, Jackie and Pat Searle. They welcomed us with true Wellsville hospitality. We spent the night with them in FairPlay, Colorado where Pat and Jackie own a beautiful house in the mountains surrounded by aspen trees and gorgeous scenery.

After a spectacular trip over Wolf Pass we arrived in Durango, Colorado. It is SNOWDOWN weekend and Joe and Greg were signed up for the Cribbage tournament. Over 152 participants of all ages and gender were at the Elks Club at 6:PM. Unfortunately the Felsen men did not have the luck of the cards tonight…..there is always next year!
