Prime Minister Rear Admiral Voreqe Bainimarama officially opened the new government funded operation theatre and a cardiology center at CWM Hospital.
Rear Admiral Bainimarama said the owning of the operation centre would enable the people of Fiji with heart problems to receive better care and services. He added the recruiting of more nurses, doctors and skilled medical surgeons would minimize the number of Fijians going out of the country to receive heart operations, as that CWM Hospital was on the way to becoming the cardiac bug for the Pacific region. The new heart centre received a financial gift from the Indian government.
Only in Fiji can I be in the same room with the Prime Minister, the President and the Minister of Health with no security checks or scans.
