THANK YOU Taxpayers and private business for a great 4th!! The US Embassy Fiji commemorated 237 years of independence with a ceremony that included food, drinks, live music and the theme "Lady Liberty. At the ceremony, which was attended by about 900 guests, including President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, secretary for Foreign Affairs, Amena Yanvoli conveyed his congratulations to the US Government and people on behalf of Fiji. Joe and I had hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, samosas, egg rolls, beer and wine. We had our picture with Lady Liberty and talked with the President of Fiji, US Ambassador etc. Frankie Reed called it a gathering of peoples and cultures. It was a fun event.
