DAY 1 - Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo or "La Capital" as it is typically called is a collage of cultures and neighborhoods.  It is where the sounds of life are most intense.  Whether it is a modest "Colmado", corner store or posh nightclubs, Santo Domingo has it.  It is the largest city in the Caribbean.

El Beaterio, a lovely, simple little guest house that was once a home for nuns.  It has a beautiful rooftop terrace.

I had lobster ravioli, wine and music to celebrate Joe's birthday!
